A product availability check can be executed for individual material-plant combinations in planned orders, production orders, deliveries, sales orders, and stock transport orders. This results in the order document containing one or more confirmed schedule lines. When the confirmed date is reached, picking and outbound delivery can take place.
If the available quantity of a material is restricted and thus insufficient to fulfill requirements, backorder processing can be performed. This results in a reprioritization of requirements and the generation of confirmations.
The Review Availability Check result can be used to display if the ordered products can be delivered in time and quantity, when and how much of the ordered product will presumably be delivered, and if/which alternative shipping locations were found and used.
